The president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbaev, forces foreign oil companies to employ a high percentage of Kazakhstan people. In extraction fields, even if situated in the Caspian Sea or in the middle of the steep, the workers have different physiognomies. Tall Yankees mess up with small men with Asiatic eyes, Italian people coming from the Mediterranean sea work next to blond Russian and small Chinese men. They work and live together in barracks mixing different foods and religions without resentment or hatred, in a reciprocal and friendly tolerance. Their faces show the serenity and proud of belonging to this caste of extraordinary and adventurous workers who live for long periods far away from their families. |
