Image from "GOODBYE BLOCK" portraits and soviet buildings

...Nothing seems to have changed although a few structural changes are visible emphasised above all by satellite dishes appearing from the windows of these large buildings. In those living in these ugly barrack-like building spread all over the former USSR only the faces change physiognomy, ranging from the Mongol features of the Kazakhs and the Uzbeks to the olive skinned faces of the Azerbaijanis, from the blonde hair of the Russians to the dark hair of the Moldavians. Men and women from different and far away countries show themselves off and allow themselves to be photographed in front of the never-ending windows of their homes. These buildings are all identical, grey, monotonous, cubic, even when built thousands of kilometres one from the other.
